Why This Role Matters:
The Director, Inclusion and Diversity plays a critical role in advancing Mars Veterinary Health’s (MVH) commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse culture across our global network. This leader will partner with Mars Inc., internal stakeholders and our BUs to embed I&D into our people strategy, operational practices, and Associate experience – ensuring every associate feels valued, heard and empowered to thrive.
You Will:
- Develop and lead the MVH Inclusion and Diversity strategy, in alignment with Mars Inc.’s Inclusion and Diversity framework and the unique needs of our veterinary business.
- Define multi-year goals and annual inclusion and diversity priorities which support our business.
- Partner with senior leaders in P&O, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development and Communications to integrate inclusion and diversity across the associate lifecycle, from hiring to development to retention.
- Act as a thought partner to senior leaders and P&O business partners to promote inclusive leadership and drive local accountability.
- Support and engage closely with Associate Resource Groups (ARGs) and participate in forums that elevate diverse voices and experiences while aligning those events with our business strategy.
- Foster a culture of belonging through listening sessions, storytelling, and meaningful observances of cultural moments.
- Coach and support P&O business partners and senior leaders to model inclusive behaviors and sponsoring inclusion and diversity events.
- Leverage qualitative and quantitative data to assess organizational health, measure impact, and inform strategy.
- Create dashboards and reporting structures that track progress on key inclusion and diversity metrics.
- Represent MVH in external partnerships and industry groups related to veterinary diversity and inclusion.
- Collaborate with Mars Petcare and Mars Inc. on global I&D initiative and shared learning opportunities.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Your Experience Should Include:
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including 3+ years leading enterprise-level inclusion and diversity strategy in a complex, multi-site organization.
- Strong background in change management, leadership coaching, and employee engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, translate insights into action, and influence at all levels of an organization.
- Veterinary, healthcare, or service industry experience preferred but not required.
- Proficiency with HR and reporting tools (e.g., Workday, Visier, PPT, Excel)
Salary Range: $134,200 – 209,688

Special Working Considerations:
- Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
- Project timelines and work volume/deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
- Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
- Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
- The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
