This role requires associates to work out of a MVH hub location in North America.
Why This Role Matters:
The Development Instructional Designer(s) are creative and detail-oriented focused on design and develop of high-impact learning experiences that support Associate growth and organization goals. The role involves working closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to translate complex information into engaging, accessible and results-driven learning solutions.
You Will:
- Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
- Apply instructional design principles and adult learning theory to create effective training materials.
- Develop blended learning experiences including eLearning, instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (vILT), microlearning, job aids, simulations, and performance support tools.
- Utilize authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Creative Suite, to create engaging and interactive content with a willingness to learn new development methods and tools.
- Ensure content is inclusive, accessible and aligned with organizational learning standards.
- Partner with SMEs and key stakeholders to conduct learning needs assessments and define learning objectives, build project plans with clear timelines and accountabilities.
- Translate technical or complex content into clear, concise and compelling learning experiences.
- Support the implementation of learning initiatives in the learning management system and/or Skills Platform.
- Stay current with industry trends, tools and best practices in instructional design and learning technology.
- Participate, as assigned, in project management activities and partner on projects with other ISD and learning systems admins.
- Follow defined processes, standards and protocols, provide recommendations and feedback to improve, participate in team meetings and engagement activities.
- Iterate and update existing learning assets based on feedback and performance outcomes.
Your Experience Should Include:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree
- Preferred: Advanced degree in ISD or ATD CPLP
- 3+ years’ experience, designing and developing learning content for adult learners.
- Proficiency with instructional design models and digital learning development.
- Strong writing, editing and visual communication skills.
- Preferred: Experience with graphic design, video editing or animation development tools.
Salary Range: $90,300 - $141,094

Special Working Considerations:
- Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
- Project timelines and work volume/deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
- Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
- Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
- The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
