Who is eligible to apply?

Students currently enrolled in an AVMA accredited DVM program with good standing and proof of PLIT insurance. Priority will be granted to third and fourth year veterinary students that have previously completed a student experience with Banfield, VCA or BluePearl and have a strong interest in small animal exclusive practice.

Is it required that I spend time in all three hospital settings?

No. You may select from any of these four tracks:
• Specialty only: 40 hours with BluePearl + 40 hours with VCA
• ER only: 40 hours with BluePearl + 40 hours with at VCA
• GP only: 40 hours with VCA + 40 hours with at Banfield
• Full experience: 40 hours with Banfield + 40 hours with VCA + 40 hours with BluePearl

Do I have to do all the experiences in consecutive weeks?

It is preferred that the experiences be completed within an 3-week time frame if possible.

What costs are covered?

Up to $5,000 reimbursement for travel and lodging provided for qualified veterinary students selected for the program.
