Kimberly Riley's, DVM, Story with Banfield
Dr. Kimberly Riley, DVM, never shies away from an opportunity to grow. “Invest in your cases and do the follow-up,” she advises. “When something isn’t going well, that’s the learning opportunity. Challenges are where the rewards are.”
“It feels like I’ve had a village of veterinarians supporting me throughout my career. I’ve been surrounded by peers who have pushed me, from friends in vet school to now and line managers who’ve believed in me. I came to Banfield when I was relocating, and I thought it would be here one, maybe two years. I’ve been here for 14 years. Being a part of Mars Pet Care means there is a whole horizon of opportunity. It’s an exciting time to be at Banfield.
Everything starts with people. My profession is providing a valuable service while we’re all facing these difficult times. We’re providing reassurance that there is help when it is needed. I’m proud of what we are doing as a profession.
As a child, I always enjoyed the company of animals. My grandparents lived on a farm, and we were moving furniture and found a stray had gotten in and had kittens. I was allowed to keep one. We were inseparable. That bound is how I knew I wanted to be a vet.”
